Ideal Logic boiler service in Inverkeithing
A recent boiler service in Inverkeithing on an Ideal Logic combi. I carried out the relevant safety and performance checks, inspected the appliance and checked the flue arrangement to make sure everything was operating as it should.
Regular servicing is a good opportunity to pick up developing issues before they become a breakdown, as well as making sure the boiler is operating safely.
Recent boiler replacement
Worcester Bosch boiler removed and Vokera relocated into a new extension
On a recent subcontracting day, I worked as part of a two-man team removing an older Worcester Bosch boiler from its original position. The replacement was moved into the customer’s new extension, where a new Vokera was fitted in a more practical, accessible location.
Relocating the boiler made better use of the new space and should make future servicing and maintenance easier. These photos show the old boiler being stripped out and the work involved during the changeover.

Recent boiler service
26-year-old Ideal RS230 boiler service
Routine service carried out on a 26-year-old Ideal RS230 boiler. The appliance was opened and inspected, with gas pressure and gas-rate checks plus relevant flue and installation checks carried out as part of the service.
At 26 years old, this boiler is a good example of why regular servicing matters: it gives the appliance a proper check and can pick up developing issues before they turn into a breakdown.
